Reflections from 2024

The years always seem to go by quickly, and everyone is always talking about how quickly the years go by. Unlike some other years, there were no major changes that occurred. No wedding, no babies born, no changing of address, no changes to employers, no major vacations.

Maybe there was one major change... we got all of our consumer debt paid off. It was so anticlimactic that I nearly forgot. It was a car loan and student loans. It was less than $40,000. It was a big deal. My husband and I talked about it a lot and more conversations happened before the chunks of cash were transferred.
Now I'm on a roll. Giving a tithe to our church happened in 2024. Prior to this year, we trusted in God, but not to the full 10%. God provided. He is so good. Learning to listen and obey is still something that I need to work on. I started a devotional plan in October to read/listen to the entire Bible from cover to cover. My goal is to finish the 365 day plan by the end of 2025 (I needed a head start!)
That's it, that's enough. Learning to be present and not always chasing the next thing is something I continue working on.
Status quo isn't always a bad thing. I'm learning to embrace the boredom. Having time to relax and think and just enjoy being.
What were your biggest accomplishments of 2024?
