I mentioned earlier that I'm a car girl. Here's another story for you.
Within a couple months of me moving to Denver, my car that I had loved for years, left me stranded on the side of the road. This was completely unacceptable.
It was St. Patrick's Day 2011. I got a great deal (and a great interest rate) on a perfectly okay car.

It was a responsible, grown-up choice. It only took me a couple of weeks to realize my mistake.
I hated this car.
It was not a good fit.
I felt like a snob driving it.
By Memorial Day, I was out touring the car lots. Who knew one of them would be open?
I made an incredibly impulsive purchased that day. The car I hated got traded.
The "new" car was two years older and ten times more fun.
It as not nearly as practical, and I loved it the second I sat in the driver's seat.
The only dollar figure I remember about the transaction was that the car I traded lost $3,000 in value in 2 1/2 months. Ouch!
Buying vehicles is a big deal, in my experience, buying anything other than exactly what I want has ended up costing me more in the long run.
If you need help evaluating major purchases, let's chat.
