I'm a big fan of Rocky from Paw Patrol. Having 2 young sons has me watching shows I didn't know existed. Rocky is the pup with a recycle truck. He's also very resourceful. I like to think that I'm also quite resourceful.
If you are not shopping on Facebook Marketplace, you are missing out on a great opportunity to recycle, reduce and reuse. Tonight I made a purchase. For just a few dollars (hundreds less than new), I purchased a dining room table. It's not pretty, but being resourceful, I plan to refurbish it once the weather is better. It is sturdy and has a leaf for when we have guests over. Also, tablecloths come in all sorts of different colors and patterns.

Could a new, much nicer table been purchased? Of course! The furniture store would have very happily offered some financing for 24-60 months at 0% APR WIC (with approved credit). Just because you can, doesn't mean you should. There are other factors to consider. If you think that affording monthly payments means you can afford things, we need to talk. Schedule a consultation with me.
The number of dining tables that people are trying to get rid of is pretty amazing. If you are open to having something that works for now, rather than works forever, used furniture might be for you! You can even be picky, depending on your timeline and ability to seek out a diamond in the rough. Bunkbeds is next on our list!
What is something that you have recycled, reduced or reused in the last month?
